A Trip to the Market

{Written by Amber}

This morning, Jared and I decided to pick up some groceries at the local market. Unlike other weekend-only farmer’s markets back in the States, this market is open from sun-rise to sun-set, 7 days a week. You can find all sorts of fresh fruits and vegetables, anything that lives in the ocean, and clothing articles as well. The market starts about four blocks away from our apartment, and it stretches multiple blocks wide and deep. I snapped a few pictures along the way…

To get the the market, we pass ECC, the English language institute where we work.

Domino’s… but according to a trusted source, it doesn’t taste anything like American pizza.

For some reason, Koreans like using English words, sometimes they do not make any sense, but in this case it definitely made finding the bank easier!

The strawberries, kiwis, and oranges are absolutely heavenly here!

A small area of the seafood section… it really smells of fish and who knows what else.

On the way back we stopped and bought some delicious cream and apple stuffed fresh waffles from a street vender!
