A Bamboo Wonderland

{Written by Amber}

On Saturday, Robbie (Kelly’s man) took Jared and Derik to baseball practice with him. With the men out of the house, us girls decided to go on an adventure of our own. Kelly had heard of this Bamboo Forest that was about 15 minutes outside of town. We decided to go check it out, and we were not disappointed. It was basically a huge ultra-relaxing beautiful, bamboo wonderland on a mountain with little trails running all through it.

I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking.

Care for a 4 oz. cup of instant coffee or cappuccino to refresh your hike (only $0.25!)?

Bamboo chimes… They look much prettier than they sound.

What a beautiful place for a picnic!

They also had an obstacle course within the park. You could purchase a pass for $7 for one route, or $12 for both.

Yes, this is a droppings guide.

At the very top of the mountain, they had a nice little workout area. Complete with a punching bag, damp boxing gloves, and a bench press.

What a great day! I’m so blessed to have such great friends who enjoy walking around in God’s beautiful nature. Stay tuned for more adventures!
