My mom is an artist, and I’ve somewhat inherited some artistic/creative genes–which is why I wanted to check out the Gamcheon Culture Village during our trip to Busan. It’s a village with colorfully painted houses and winding streets. Sculptures, murals, and a few artistic coffee shops line the streets of this little village.
[If you want to go, take Line 1 to Toseong Station. Walk straight out of Exit 8, and follow the road until you reach the bus shelter in front of the Cancer Center Hospital. Take bus 2 or 2-2 to the top and get off at Gamcheon Elementary School.]
This was a great stop for us, aside from the fact that I ended up losing my phone here. Note to self: if you ride in a taxi cab, always check the seat before getting out.
This may just be me missing Europe, but for some reason this little village seemed to remind me of Italy. Did anyone else think the same thing?
