I’m so thankful that we’ve been able to do things that make us feel at home… like making a gingerbread house. And, I’m very grateful that we have wonderful friends who join in!
Not really knowing what we were getting ourselves into, we headed to Home Plus (Korea’s Walmart) in search of gingerbread house supplies. Since we couldn’t find molasses to make gingerbread, we opted for some flat rectangle cookies, pepero, licorice (from the States), imitation M&Ms, gummy stars, and homemade Royal Icing (recipe).
Our house ended up looking like a gingerbread church 🙂
We took the gingerbread houses to school the next day, and the kids absolutely loved them! Most of them had never heard of a gingerbread house, let alone seen one. You should have seen their eager anticipation when we told them you can eat the whole thing!

We passed the remains of the houses from classroom to classroom….
Until nothing was left!
Thank you for donating your gingerbread house to our kids Jeremy and Chelsea Diamond!!!
